LABRADORITE

Metaphysical: The Stone of Peace

GOLDEN LABRADORITE / SUNSTONE
Golden Labradorite has a hardness of 6 to 6.5, a plagioclase feldspar, and is found in southern Oregon (known as Oregon Sunstone), eastern Utah, and Mexico, where the largest gem grade deposits are found. Color is golden yellow and does not have the chatoyancy of other labradorites but when faceted into a jewel is very beautiful.

Golden Lab opens the third chakra. It represents the solar qualities of labradorite: inner strength, vitality, courage, clear thinking, endurance, mental activity, spiritual focus, and purposefulness. It can calm the emotions through increased clarity of mind and can help one see the Divine pattern in one's daily struggles. It takes one not only into communion with the energies of our own sun, but through a thread of Light it also connects with the Great Central Sun, the home and origin of consciousness in the Universe.

Labradorite is known as a stone of peace.

It is said to clear, balance, and protect the aura and is purported to help provide clarity and insight into your destiny, as well as attract success. It is used in metaphysics for dream recall, and finding ways to use dreams in daily life. Stress and anxiety are said to be reduced by labradorite, while it increases intuition, psychic development, esoteric wisdom, help with subconscious issues, and provides mental illumination.

Labradorite is associated with the solar plexus and brow chakras
