Chrysocolla is a secondary copper mineral and found in the oxidation zone below copper deposits. It often replaces earlier secondary copper mineral deposits. It is often associated with quartz and limonite and often found with other secondary copper minerals such as malachite, azurite, and cuprite.
Metaphysically, chrysocolla is a stone of harmony, both on a universal level and a very specific level. It can be used to purify a place or remove negativity from a person. It is a very gentle stone and its energy works in a gentle harmonious way and helps to ease fear, anxiety, and guilt. It is also used to communicate with the spiritual forces of the Earth.
Physically, it is used for treating tension headaches and is used for protection during pregnancy and childbirth.
Chrysocolla is primarily related to the throat chakra, although it can be used on the heart and solar plexus chakras also.

Our rough chrysocolla for tumbling is from Madagascar - sizes average 1-1 1/4" and 15-30 grams.

Our African tumbled Chrysocolla is from South Africa. Colors range from light turquoise to blue green to deep blue. This chrysocolla is AA quality. These are bulk stones and you will receive a stone chosen at random.
Extra small pieces weigh less than two grams and measure 3/8 to 1/2". Small pieces range from 2 to 4 grams and measure 3/8 to 3/4". Medium stones range from 4 to 8 grams and measure 1/2 to 1" and Large stones range from 8 to 15 grams and measure 3/4 to 1 1/4".
The smaller pieces are often thin.
