Arfvedsonite is a rare stone found in Russia and Greenland. Our Arfvedsonite is from Russia. It is often mistaken for Nuummite or Astrophyllite, but it is neither. It was discovered in 1823 by and named for the Swedish chemist Johan August Arfwedson (1792-1841).
Metaphysically, Arfvedsonite has a reassuring energy, powerful enough to lift one's vibration and aid you in locating and releasing energy blockages in the body. It assists in awakening the Divine Light, allowing the light within you to flow not only within but to others. It is best to use a good psychic protection stone when using Arfvedsonite; black tourmaline, amber, amethyst, or malachite are excellent choices. Arfvedsonite is a Stone of Truth, opens the Throat Chakra, and assists one with accurate communicating. It also stimulates positive thought. It is a very powerful stone when placed on the Third Eye during meditation. It helps one see into the very near future. You may increase it's psychic vision power by combining with with white magnesite, amethyst, shattuckite, or dumortierite.
Arfvedsonite is darkest brown to black with metallic stellate sprays of crystals in colors that range from beige to silvery blue to sky blue.
